In a bid to promote inclusiveness in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), instructors from Government Technical College (GTC) Odomola, Epe, joined other educators across Lagos State at a transformative workshop organized by the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board (LASTVEB).

The three-day workshop, held at the LASTVEB headquarters, focused on Inclusive Education Strategies, Modern Pedagogies, and Tools for Diversity in the Classroom. Facilitators emphasized the importance of equipping instructors with the right tools to cater to students with special needs and from diverse backgrounds, in line with global standards for vocational education.

One of GTC Odomola’s instructors, Mrs. Oyelade, shared:

“This training has opened our eyes to more creative and compassionate ways to teach. We are better prepared to ensure no student is left behind.”

The workshop also covered digital inclusion, curriculum adaptation, and gender-sensitive teaching approaches. At the end of the session, participants received certificates and resource kits to implement what they had learned at their respective institutions.

This move aligns with the Lagos State Government’s agenda to raise the bar in technical education and ensure that TVET remains accessible, inclusive, and future-ready.
