This programme is intended to produce skilled craftsmen who will be capable of making/producing shoes and bags to the standard of all markets and make trainees gainfully employed and or, to start private small business in leather crafts.

The Footwear and Leather Crafts program at GTC Odomola-Epe introduces students to the world of leatherworking with a focus on both tradition and innovation. Through practical training, learners develop expertise in creating various leather goods such as sandals, slippers, school shoes, handbags, wallets, and belts.

The course covers key aspects including:

·         Understanding leather types and materials

·         Footwear design and pattern drafting

·         Manual and machine stitching

·         Leather cutting and shaping

·         Edge finishing, polishing, and decoration

·         Branding, packaging, and business skills

Students will gain hands-on experience using tools and machines specific to the leather industry. By the end of the training, graduates are equipped not only with craftsmanship skills but also with entrepreneurial knowledge to start their own leather business or work in small and large-scale production settings.
