COMPUTER STUDIES AND GSM REPAIR CRAFT

Description

The aim of this computer is to train and impart the necessary skills leading to the production of technicians and other skilled personnel computer operation who would be enterprising and self-reliant.

The Computer Studies and GSM Repair Craft program at GTC Odomola-Epe is a dual-skill course designed to give students a strong foundation in both computer operations and mobile phone repairs. The curriculum combines digital literacy, basic programming, and software applications with comprehensive training in mobile (GSM) repair and maintenance.

Computer Studies Modules include:

·         Computer fundamentals and applications (Microsoft Office, Internet, Email)

·         Introduction to programming and coding basics

·         Digital tools for learning, productivity, and communication

·         Cyber safety and responsible computer usage

·         Introduction to web and graphic design tools

GSM Repair Modules include:

·         Identification and handling of phone components

·         Diagnosing common faults in Android and basic phones

·         Replacing screens, batteries, and internal components

·         Software flashing and unlocking

·         Soldering, use of multimeter, and precision repair tools

OBJECTIVES

At the completion of the course, the student should be able to:

·         Have an understanding of the computer environment and skills needed to use specialist software packages in a very competent manner in the business and industrial sector.

·         Produce competent I.T craftsmen that are employable after the three (3) years in a technical college.

·         Produce articulate and highly productive graduates to fill the lower level manpower need in I.T industry.
