GARMENT MAKING

Description

This programme is intended to produce competent craftsmen who would be exposed to the fundamentals of general Ladies Garment Making, thereby making them skilled and self-reliant.

The Garment Making program at GTC Odomola-Epe provides students with comprehensive training in clothing design, sewing techniques, and fashion entrepreneurship. It is a highly practical course that combines creativity with precision, empowering students to turn fabric into stylish, well-finished garments.

Students will learn:

·         Body measurement and figure analysis

·         Pattern drafting, cutting, and fitting

·         Sewing machine operation and maintenance

·         Garment construction techniques for various outfits (native, casual, formal, and school uniforms)

·         Fabric types, pressing, and finishing techniques

·         Embellishment and fashion illustration

·         Clothing business skills (branding, costing, and client relations)

The course is ideal for those passionate about fashion, tailoring, or launching their own clothing line. On completion, students are equipped to work as professional tailors, fashion designers, or garment factory workers or start their own sewing business.
